Merry (yellow collar) and Pippin (green collar) are two very athletic, active cats. As the brothers look very similar, the owner gave them collars with different collars so it’s a little easier to tell them apart.
The cats love to be outside, hunt and climb trees like their bigger relatives in the wild. In the last couple of weeks, they have been bringing home a lot of big house-rats and also some bigger bugs, so the family only lets them go out when they’re home, so that the prey won’t find its way inside .
After sleeping on the bed of the parents, Merry loves to wake up his owners in the morning to be let out. One time, he apparently brought home a very big snail for his family and was very disappointed when they didn’t want to play with it . When he is fed, he tries to move his food out of the bowl and as far away from his brother as possible.

Merrys brother Pippin is the rather dominant one of the two. Pippin has already experienced a lot in his outside-time. One time, he got stuck on a tree and wasn’t able to come down again . Luckily, the family found him, using the very handy locating-device that is attached to the cats collars. As no one was able to climb up the tree, the kids held up a big board, on which Pippin then jumped from the tree! Another time, he got stuck in a humane trap, that some neighbours had set up to catch pine martens. The neighbours were rather surprised when instead of the small marten, they found Pip! The owners call Pippin a bit of a ‘tart’, which means he always want to be petted and will lay on his back as soon as he sees a human that could pay some attention to him .
Pippin
The two brothers found a wonderful home, where they get all the attention and love they could dream of. The peaceful surroundings are perfect for them to explore and venture around safely. We wish the family a wonderful time and thank them for their heartfelt care.
